Potato Chip Headline: Are Pringles Potato Chips?
I recently had this discussion with my sister. Pringles are such a different type of chip snack that they almost don’t qualify as a “potato chip.” So are they potato chips or not?
Britain has officially deemed Pringles as “crisps” or “chips” according to the U.S.
According to The Atlantic: Pringles, it says, are not crisps. Why? Because their shape and packaging are “not found in nature.” Tough, said the court. Pringles are 42% potato. That’s enough to qualify them as crisps. Under the law, crisps get taxed.
The fun things we learn in the world of chips!

VOTE: Cajun Squirrel a New Flavor???
Yesterday afternoon, I was reading my latest potato chip alerts (courtesy of Google) when I saw a post on the Chicago Tribune blog: The Stew about an interesting new take on flavors overseas.
I know the British tend to have a reputation of being somewhat eccentric or perhaps odd. But leave it to the Brits to create flavors that I think most Americans would be hesitant to taste.
