Spinach & Artichoke Tortilla Chips
February 20, 2009
While perusing my usual Target with David, my boyfriend, we saw an end display of Archer Farms potato chips on sale! It’s always a good day when chips are on sale! Although there were a variety of flavors to choose from (including my breath-killing weakness, Salt & Vinegar), I decided to venture into the Spinach & Artichoke tortilla chips.
It’s like the real thing!
I love spinach and artichoke dip from Applebees. Love it! And the Spinach & Artichoke chips taste like the entire bag was soaked in a bowl of spinach & artichoke dip and this was the result. There is plenty of flavor initially, but not overwhelming by any means. It also has a fairly strong pepper spice that lingers afterwards.
The chips are a little thicker than your typical corn tortilla chip, but with a good crunch.
Even David, who did not like the Guacamole chips (he is not a fan of green vegetables nor anything that resembles them nor spinach and artichoke dip), really likes this chip. Maybe the coloring was light enough not to scare him away.
Although I like this chip, I couldn’t eat a lot of them. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I tend to munch this is not a chip for light munching.
If you like Spinach & Artichoke dip then this is the chip for you.
FAILED the Peanut Butter Sandwich Test:
A peanut butter sandwich just isn’t to perfection until you put a chip in it. This chip had too much spice to be enjoyed on topo of a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
